Celebrate the autumn season with a hike led by Keith Tomlinson—Meadowlark’s former garden manager of 23 years, a Biology Fellow at the Washington DC Academy of Science, a consulting editor for the Smithsonian Guides to Natural America, and, since 1999, a Smithsonian Associate study tour leader. 
 
This special walk will take you through Meadowlark’s natural areas, colorful gardens, and around its serene lakes, offering a front-row view of autumn’s beauty. Along the way, you'll discover how plants and wildlife prepare for the winter ahead.
 
  • For adults and children ages 8+
  • $12 per person activity fee includes garden admission

  • Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy walking shoes, bring water, and be prepared for 90 minutes of walking on uneven, natural-surface trails
