Important Note: Beginning in 2026, benches installed more than 20 years ago may be removed or replaced as part of a garden-wide update to improve safety, accessibility, and consistency. To renew your bench with a new donation, take it home, or ask questions, please email  meadowlark@nvrpa.org .

Volunteer Opportunities

• Garden Volunteer: Love gardening or want hands-on experience? Volunteer at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens! Work with our expert horticulture team to learn about planting, pruning, and garden management. Our season runs from March to December, weather permitting. Cultivate your skills and make a difference in our beautiful gardens!
• Garden Docent: Do you enjoy sharing your knowledge and love the outdoors? Become a Garden Docent at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens! Lead tours and groups while sharing your expertise and learning more yourself. Join us for a rewarding experience where you can both teach and grow!
• Administrative Volunteer: Are you detail-oriented and passionate about organization? Join us as an Administrative Volunteer! Work behind the scenes with garden staff to keep collections accurate and orderly. Tasks include checking label placement in garden beds and managing data entry at the Visitor Center. Help us ensure our gardens run smoothly!
• Trail Volunteer: Do you love being in nature? Volunteer at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens to help maintain our diverse trail systems. You'll prune, clear, and assess paths for guest access. Morning shifts available. Join us in preserving our beautiful garden trails!
• Special Events Volunteer: Do you enjoy variety in your work? Meadowlark Botanical Gardens hosts special events year-round. You might greet guests, prepare goody bags, or assist with tours. This diverse role is perfect for those who like doing a bit of everything.
