Explore Woodland Trails, the Nature Center and Educational Gardens
Explore the natural world on 67 acres of wild and cultivated land at Potomac Overlook Regional Park in Arlington, Virginia. Hike miles of trails while following interpretive displays to learn about Northern Virginia’s flora and fauna. Our educational organic vegetable garden hosts school trips and summer nature camps, while other demonstration gardens showcase native plants and insects and live animal displays. Visit the James I. Mayer Center for Environmental Education to learn about the connections between humans and the natural world. Potomac Overlook Regional Park also hosts an outdoor summer concert series and a popular summer camp for kids.Support your park
Camp Overlook explores the close-to-home natural world with children entering grades K through 11 at Potomac Overlook Regional Park. Our camp staff works hard to create a curriculum that weaves unique activities and investigations with familiar annual traditions. Activities at Camp Overlook are designed to be engaging, challenging, educational, and fun! We highly value and encourage inclusion of all campers in all activities.
The park is open daily from dawn til dusk.
