Indoor and outdoor horticulture assignments for all skill levels await volunteers at the NOVA Parks Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, in Vienna, Virginia.

Hardy outdoor workers will find bulbs to plant, mulch to spread and flower beds to cultivate. Indoors, volunteers will help seedlings flourish in the greenhouse and Horticulture Building and perform clerical tasks.

Personal talents and interests determine assignments. Volunteers who serve four hours or more per month receive free admission to the gardens and invitations to special events. For information about volunteer horticulture opportunities, call 703-242-9425. To learn about volunteer opportunities in the gardens' Visitor Center and programs, call (703) 255-3631, ext. 301.

Meadowlark Gardens - a true gem in Vienna

We have visited Meadowlark Gardens many times. Every aspect from the nature center to the gardens to the lake, etc are just fantastic.

lovely meditative gardens and walks

for a respite from all the hustle and bustle, Meadowlark is the place to go. situated on the site of an old farm, enjoy the pond stocked with fish as you stroll around the property. little treasures are tucked away along the paths, a garden for the children, one featuring the plants native to this area, a Korean bell. classes are offered here and the facilities available for functions. a beautiful place for a wedding. come often and watch the flowers and plants blossom and unfold.
