Is there anything I can do to prepare before registration?

Due to high demand for camps, spots fill fast! We HIGHLY recommend creating a user account well in advance of February 14. Learn more about registration and creating an account.

Can I be added to your email distribution list for summer camps?

Absolutely! If you have signed up for any previous Camp Winkler offerings, the email address you used for registration is already on our distribution list and will receive an email update about registration day, camp information, etc. If you are a first-time customer and would like to be added to this list, or if you would like to be removed, please contact us at winkler@nvrpa.org

Can my camper be added to a camp if spots are full?

We will only be able to add campers to a session if there are open spots. However, you can add your camper to the waitlist for any session on the Registration page. Adding your camper to the waitlist is free, and each year we register many campers from our waitlists when spots do become available.

Can my camper be enrolled in a camp if they are too young or too old?

This is decided by camp management on a case-by-case basis, as we will need to override the age requirements to register them. You must email us at winkler@nvrpa.org to request this. Please understand that there are no guarantees that exceptions will be made, and camp spots are purely on a first come first serve basis. Our recommendation is to register your camper for a session that they meet the age requirements for first, and then if needed reach out about the session you are interested in having us enroll them in. This is to ensure your camper doesn’t miss out on a camp experience entirely.

Where can I find the camp forms?

Paper forms are no longer required for campers! When registering campers for a session, required information will be collected through the NOVA Parks online registration system, including emergency contacts, special needs, authorized pickups, and related details.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds for Missed Camp Days

Refunds are not provided for missed camp days due to illness nor for changed work or vacation schedules.

Refunds for a Camp Session (Full Week)

  • Refunds are not permitted within 59 days of the start of the camp session.
  • Refund requests submitted at least 60 days prior to the start of the camp session will be considered only if the vacated spot can be filled by another camper. If the spot is filled, the registration fee will be refunded minus a $50 administrative fee.

How can I reach Camp Winkler staff?

Staff can be reached by calling or texting Winkler Botanical Preserve during operating hours at 571-328-3333 or by emailing us at winkler@nvrpa.org. We anticipate higher phone and email volume on February 14 due to registration. Please be aware of the possibility that it may take several calls, or longer wait times between emails, before you are able to reach or hear back from us. We will do our best to answer all questions in a timely fashion!
