Great Waves offers some of the most unique and fun water attractions in Northern Virginia! Spend the day sampling the waterpark's 7 total slides. Start with a pair of speed slides in which users climb a dizzying staircase before sliding at high speed into the water below. Twist and curl as the cool water rushes you to the pool below on three swirling waterslides–two open and one covered. Smaller guests can enjoy two open slides in the play pool.

Of course, the park’s centerpiece is the giant wave pool. Grab a tube, bob and weave in the surf as undulating waves provide an ocean-like experience. For the little ones, our Kids Zone and giant splash pad are great places to cool off while having a great time! Recharge with pizza at Surfside Pizza, or lunch and snacks at the Riptide Café.

Paradise Play at Cameron Run

This colorful beach themed play structure features exciting climbing and play features including triple slides, spiral climbs, pogo bounces, rock wall, spiral slides, mazes, kids conveyors, wobble hoppers and so much more to provide hours of entertainment for kids 3 to 12.

Batting Cages at Cameron Run

Step up to the plate and get ready, because we're bringing the heat at our deluxe batting cages! Choose slow or fast pitch softball, or take a crack at baseballs instead featuring a variety of tough speeds. We’ll provide the bats and helmets, or you can bring your own. Hone your swing alone, or get a group of friends together and see who can get the most hits!

Mini Golf at Cameron Run

This beautifully designed and landscaped course offers many challenging holes and hazards, with lush greens in every direction and nearby fountains. 18-holes of miniature golf fun awaits the whole family!

Rental Cabanas

Cabanas are a perfect way to enjoy a little personal space. New in 2025, additional rental areas inside the waterpark are available by reservation! These semi-private areas provide a space for your group to gather when not swimming and playing. Please note that seating is not guaranteed for all your guests. Areas accommodate groups of 8-50 and require advanced reservation and minimum advanced ticket purchase.

Ice & Lights: The Winter Village at Cameron Run

Glide across the ice at Ice & Lights, The Winter Village at Cameron Run in Alexandria, Virginia. The waterpark is transformed mid-November through February into a winter wonderland with an ice rink, beautifully lit photo ops, music and more! Grab a slice of pizza, roast a marshmallow over the fire pits, and enjoy the winter village.

Swim Lessons

Swim lessons at Great Waves Waterpark are a great way for your kids to brush up on their water skills. We offer class lessons for everyone from the youngest beginners to age 5. Registration for classes is normally available at the beginning of waterpark season, starting just before the waterpark opens on Memorial Day Weekend.

Know Before You Go

While you are enjoying aquatic facilities, feel secure knowing that you are being closely monitored by licensed aquatics staff. “Safety is golden” is the mantra of our staff, who take their jobs seriously and hold the safety of you and your family in the highest regard. They are regularly tested for equipment readiness, situation recognition and professionalism. Swim with care, but do so knowing that our team of guards is ready to assist you should the need arise.
