Brrr, it’s getting chilly outside! To avoid the cold, we put on a jacket or turn up the heat—but how does wildlife keep warm? Learn about the many ways wildlife adapts to survive the winter months as you enjoy s’mores by the campfire, meet live animals, make a DIY bird feeder, craft your own “polar bear mittens” to test how well they keep your hands warm, and more!

  • Program Fee: $12 per participant for ages 7 and up.
  • Participants: Children must be accompanied by an adult. Any attendee over 7 (to include adults) is considered a participant.
  • Registration: Registration closes the day prior to the program. All participants must register in advance.
  • Meet at the Nature Center.
