Learn to Letterbox: Winter Holiday Edition

Letterboxing is a family friendly scavenger-hunt-style adventure that takes you to interesting locations all over the world solving clues and searching for hidden treasures! Participants will learn where to find the clues, how to decipher them and receive hints on what to look for. Then off on an adventure around the park to find the boxes hidden here! Participants will also get a chance to carve their own personal stamp and receive an introductory logbook! 

  • Program Fee: $12 per participant for ages 7 and up.
  • Participants: Children must be accompanied by an adult. Any attendee over 7 (to include adults) is considered a participant.
  • Registration: Registration closes the day prior to the program. All participants must register in advance. Please note that we are unable to accommodate drop-ins.
  • Meet at the Nature Center.

All Three Holiday Light Shows are NOW OPEN!

The most wonderful time of the year is here! NOVA Parks’ three holiday light shows are NOW OPEN. Visit Bull Run Festival of Lights, Meadowlark’s Winter Walk of Lights, and Ice & Lights—The Winter Village at Cameron Run to ring in the holiday season. Climb UPton is OPEN WEEKENDS!

Climb UPton will be open 10am to 7pm on weekends through November 23, and on Veterans Day, November 11! Take on the Mid-Atlantic's largest ropes course with 90 elements across three challenge levels.
