Potomac Overlook Regional Park
4th of July Family Forest Bathing

Next Date
Start your 4th of July with a breath of fresh air—and a little forest magic.
This special family edition of forest bathing invites kids and adults alike to slow down, explore with your senses, and discover wonder in the woods at Potomac Overlook Regional Park! Guided by certified nature and forest therapy guide Ilana Rubin of Kindred Nature, enjoy a gently guided wander in the park, pausing along the way for interactive, sensory nature-based invitations that spark curiosity, calm, and connection.
You might listen for birdsong, search for patterns in the leaves, or simply sit in quiet awe beneath a tree. There’s no right or wrong way to take part—just come as you are, ready to notice what’s around you (and maybe within you, too).
What to expect: This is a professionally-guided small-group experience designed to support nature connection across generations – away from screens, out of the hustle and bustle, and into the moment. This is a slow and sensory-based walk, not a strenuous long hike or fitness activity. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to wander, wonder, and share the morning with others. We’ll close our time together with a cozy forest tea party under the trees.
