Music in the Gardens: A Memorial Day Tribute in Brass

Next Date
Join us this Memorial Day weekend for Music in the Gardens: A Memorial Day Tribute in Brass, a stirring and family-friendly afternoon of music and celebration.
The Virginia Chamber Orchestra Brass Quintet—featuring Kevin Gebo and Philippe Brunet on trumpet, Amy Horn on horn, Bryan Bourne on trombone, and Zach Bridges on tuba—will perform a patriotic and crowd-pleasing program including Sousa marches, classic patriotic arrangements, and highlights from the Brass Quintet repertoire, including a work by Beethoven. The musicians will share engaging commentary about the music and their instruments, making this a fun and educational experience for all ages.
Before the concert, bring the kids to the Children’s Activity Tent from 2-3 PM where they can create their own percussion instruments to use during the performance or take home as a keepsake!
On your way to the Korean Bell Garden, stop by the Breezy Bites Park food truck as well as the wine and beer stand to purchase soft pretzels, funnel cakes, chicken salad croissants, salads, fruit, charcuterie minis, and cold beverages.
