2024 Camp Winkler Offerings

Wiggle Worms (5-6 year olds)

Wiggle Worms dig in and explore the world beneath our feet. Build a take-home garden and the know-how to keep it going! Learn about the pollinators that work hard to get food to your table. Try new fruits and vegetables! Bring new-found knowledge and meaningful crafts home to share!

Camp Schedule: 9am-1pm
Cost:    $220 per camper in / $270 per camper out of jurisdiction (session 1)
             $270 per camper in / $320 per camper out of jurisdiction (session 7)

Forest Friends (7-9 year olds)

Forest Friends spend their time all over the preserve. Investigate our animals from the creek to the tops of the trees. Get up close and personal to different species, learn about their lives and create your own critter. Build a forest fortress for your imaginary creature and bring home a small version of your own.

Outdoor Explorers (10-12 year olds)

Outdoor Explorers examine the bridge between STEM and Nature. Learn what tools animals "utilize" in their lives at Winkler Botanical Preserve, build your own toolbox, and invent your own implements. Investigate how a snake resembles a clamp, look at the chisels of rodents, and understand what inventions humans have made from observing how animals did it first.
