See below for camp sessions and rates. The camp season will begin on Monday, June 22, 2026.
AGES 5-6
Puddle Jumpers Camps
Puddle Jumpers participate in a variety of activities, including outdoor games, arts and crafts, nature hikes, live animal presentations, bug hunts, and more! Each week features a different theme, with most activities focused on that theme.
Camp Schedule: 8:30am-12:30pm
Session 1 (Water): June 22 – June 26 (20 campers)
$275 per camper in / $325 per camper out of jurisdiction
Take part in a stream hike, learn about the water cycle through hands-on activities, create your own water strider craft, and more.
Session 2 (Creepy Crawlies): July 6 – July 10 (20 campers)
$275 per camper in / $325 per camper out of jurisdiction
Go on a bug hunt, meet live creepy crawlies, make a wiggling caterpillar craft, build your own “bug hotel,” and more.
Session 3 (Reptiles): July 13 – July 17 (20 campers)
$275 per camper in / $325 per camper out of jurisdiction
Meet live turtles and snakes, watch snakes be fed by a naturalist, take part in a turtle race, and more.
Session 4 (Birds): July 27 – July 31 (20 campers)
$275 per camper in / $325 per camper out of jurisdiction
Meet resident birds of prey, create your own paper towel owl, go on a bird-watching hike, and more.
Session 5 (Earth): August 10 – August 14 (20 campers)
$275 per camper in / $325 per camper out of jurisdiction

Ages 7-9
Junior Naturalist Camps
Junior Naturalists participate in a variety of activities, including outdoor games, arts and crafts, nature hikes, live animal presentations, bug hunts, and more! Each week features a different theme, with most activities focused on that theme.

Session 1 (Earth): June 22 – June 26 (20 campers)
$405 per camper in / $455 per camper out of jurisdiction

This session features a mix of themes from all Junior Naturalist camps. Each day highlights Earth, Birds, Reptiles, Creepy Crawlies, or Water—an ideal option for campers who want a little of everything.
Junior Naturalist ½ Day Camp
Junior Naturalists participate in a variety of activities, including outdoor games, arts and crafts, stream exploration, nature hikes, live animal presentations, bug hunts, and more!
Camp Schedule: 12-4pm
Session 1: July 6 – July 10 (20 campers)
Cost: $275 per camper in / $325 per camper out of jurisdiction
Ages 10-12
Junior Gardeners Camp
This three-day camp introduces campers to horticulture through hands-on activities. Participants explore gardens, learn about pollinators, create planters, and more!
Camp Schedule: 8:30am-12:30pm
Session 1: June 29 – July 1* (15 campers)
Cost: $165 per camper in / $215 per camper out of jurisdiction
*Please note that this session is Monday – Wednesday due to Independence Day holiday
Adventure Camp
Adventure Camp is a high-energy, recreation-focused experience. Activities may include swimming, hiking, kayaking or paddle boarding, and a high ropes course. This three-day camp includes field trips to other parks.
Camp Schedule: 9am-4pm
Session 1: June 29 – July 1* (15 campers)
Cost: $315 per camper in / $365 per camper out of jurisdiction

Art in the Park Camp
This camp is perfect for your aspiring young artist! Each day focuses on a different visual art form, including photography, drawing, painting, printmaking basics, and natural sculpture. This camp includes field trips to other parks.

Session 1: July 6 – July 10 (15 campers)
Cost: $515 per camper in / $565 per camper out of jurisdiction
Critter Caretakers Camp
How do we care for animals? Whether it’s animals we work with or loveable companions, there’s all kinds of techniques and things to know to keep critters happy and healthy. Campers explore animal care techniques and gain insight into keeping animals healthy and safe.

Session 1: July 13 – July 17 (15 campers)
Cost: $275 per camper in / $325 per camper out of jurisdiction
Ages 11-13
Ranger Recruits Camp
The environment needs leaders who will protect and conserve it, and that’s where Rangers like you come in! Great for any future conservationist, this camp focuses on environmental stewardship. Participants engage in eco-friendly activities such as trail upkeep, plantings, invasive species management, and water testing. Camp includes a field trip to another park.
Camp Schedule: 8:30am-3:30pm
Session 1: July 20 – July 24 (15 campers)
Cost: $460 per camper in / $510 per camper out of jurisdiction
Outdoor Living Skills Camp
Do you love the outdoors? Want to pick up some tips and tricks to explore the wilderness? Learn essential outdoor skills such as building a campfire, planning a camping trip, hiking, and more.
Camp Schedule: 12-4pm
Session 1: July 27 – July 31 (20 campers)
Cost: $275 per camper in / $325 per camper out of jurisdiction
Animals 101 Camp
Calling all animal enthusiasts who want to learn more about our local wildlife! This camp offers hands-on experiences with local wildlife including animal feeding, handling, identification, and more. Camp includes field trips to other parks.

Session 1: August 3 – August 7 (15 campers)
Cost: $515 per camper in / $565 per camper out of jurisdiction
Pirates of the Potomac Camp
Avast ye, scallywags! Take part in this offering as we “set sail” along the Potomac River. This themed camp explores Potomac Overlook Regional Park and surrounding areas through water-based activities such as kayaking, stream hiking, netting, and watershed exploration. Camp includes field trips to other parks.
