2026 Camp Overlook Sessions

Summer Camp registration opens Saturday, February 14th, 2026 at 10am. 
See below for camp sessions and rates. The camp season will begin on Monday, June 22nd, 2026.

Puddle Jumpers Camp (ages 5-6)

Puddle Jumpers will participate in a variety of activities including outdoor games, arts and crafts, nature hikes, live animal presentations, bug hunts, and more! Each week also has a different theme, and the majority of activities will focus on that theme.

Session 1 (Water): June 22 – June 26 (20 campers)

Take part in a stream hike, learn all about and experiment with the water cycle, make your own water strider craft, and more!

Junior Naturalist Camp (ages 7-9)

Junior Naturalists will participate in a variety of activities including outdoor games, arts and crafts, nature hikes, live animal presentations, bug hunts, and more! Each week also has a different theme, and the majority of activities will focus on that theme.

Join us for an offering that’s a mix of all our other Junior Naturalist Camps! Each day will correspond with a theme from the other five Junior Naturalist sessions: Earth, Birds, Reptiles, Creepy Crawlies, and Water. The perfect offering for a camper who wants a little bit of everything!

Junior Gardeners Camp (ages 10-12)

It’s never too early to kindle a passion for horticulture! Your young gardener in training will explore the gardens in our park, learn about pollinators, make their own planters, and more in this special three-day offering!

Adventure Camp (ages 10-12) 

Adventure camp is a high-paced, recreation-focused camp! Activities may include swimming, hiking, kayaking/paddle boarding, a high ropes course and more! A perfect three-day offering for those who want an action-packed camp experience. Camp contains field trips to other parks each day.

Art in the Park Camp (ages 10-12) 

There’s beauty all around us in nature! Each day will focus on a different visual art form including photography, drawing, painting, print work basics, and natural sculptures. This camp is perfect for your aspiring young artist! Camp contains field trips to other parks.

Critter Caretakers Camp (ages 10-12)

How do we care for animals? Whether it’s animals we work with or our loveable companions, there’s all kinds of techniques and things to know to keep our critters happy and healthy. Learn how to take care of the animals at the nature center, pets, and more in this offering.

Ranger Recruits Camp (ages 11-13) 

Our environment needs leaders who will protect and conserve it, and that’s where Rangers like you come in! Learn how to be a good steward, practice conservation, and more in this offering. Ranger Recruits Camp will get out into our park and participate in eco-friendly activities such as trail upkeep, plantings, invasive species management, water testing, and more. A great camp for future conservationists! Camp contains field trip to another park.

Animals 101 Camp (ages 11-13)

Calling all animal enthusiasts, this is the camp for you! Want to learn more about our local wildlife? Or work with reptiles, amphibians and birds of prey up close? Campers will participate in a variety of activities including animal feeding, handling, IDing, and more. Camp contains field trips to other parks.

Pirates of the Potomac Camp (ages 11-13)

Avast ye, scallywags!  Take part in this offering as we “set sail” along the Potomac River.  We’ll explore our park, learn about our watershed and water’s role in everything around us, and visit different locations along the Potomac and engage in water exploration with kayaking, stream hiking, netting, and more! Camp contains field trips to other parks.
