May I hold a date and is there a fee for doing so?
You may hold a date free of charge for 7 days.
What is the booking process?
After the hold process, you may proceed to contract. Upon contract signing, half (50%) of the rental plus 6% sales tax is due. The remainder of your rental and tax, plus a refundable security deposit, is due 30 days before your event.
What is the security deposit?
The security deposit is $1,000 and is fully refundable after the event if there are no contractual violations or damage.
What is the cancellation policy?
In the event that the renter cancels the reservation 12 months or more prior to the rental date, the entire deposit is refundable, less a $250 administrative fee. In the event that the Renter cancels the reservation less than 12 months prior to the rental date, all payments are forfeited with the exception of the security deposit ($1,000). If the canceled rental date is rebooked, all deposits will be refunded, less a $250 administrative fee, provided that the rebooking is at the same rate. If the rebooking is for a lower rental, then the refund will be less.
What is included?
Depending on the options chosen, renters have the use of the Manor House including the Parlor, Dining Room, Butler’s Pantry, Library, Bride’s Room, and Groom’s Cottage; the grounds including the Portico, gardens and area around the House; and the tented event facility. Rust Manor House will only host one (1) event per day. Ample parking is available. Your rental includes an 8 hour minimum block of time. The 8 hours is defined as the time your guests start arriving, usually an hour before the ceremony, to the time cleanup is finished and all guests and vendors have departed. Music must end by 11pm and all event activities including cleanup must be finished by midnight. Your rental includes a set of tables and chairs for use inside the Manor House. The tented event space will also have a set of tables and chairs as well as guidance through the planning process and event staff or Rental Supervisor for day of the event. Ceremony chairs are also included. Rental of the site will include use of the Manor House for a ceremony rehearsal, subject to availability. The wedding party may use the Bride’s Room and Groom’s Cottage to get ready and may decorate the rental areas starting as early as 10am the day of the rental, at no extra charge. Vendors may arrive prior to the contracted event hours with approval.
Do I need a wedding planner?
Events need someone outside of the wedding party to help plan the ceremony and to help run the procession. If you don’t have a planner or a day of coordinator, we suggest you ask a family member or friend to fill that role. The Rust staff will be present to have the house and grounds ready for your event but cannot fill the role of wedding coordinator.
What are “In Jurisdiction” and “Non Jurisdiction”?

Can we shuttle our guests to and from Rust Manor for our event?
Yes, however, while large coach buses have been able to access Rust, many drivers are not experienced maneuvering the tight space of our parking lot. Therefore, if you hire a shuttle company, we suggest having two smaller buses transport your guests.
What are the available time blocks?
Event time is generally 3pm to 11pm or 4pm to 12am but may begin prior to 3pm with approval. Music and the event must end one hour before the event end time and the event site must be cleaned and vacated by the event end time. No event can end later than midnight.
