Celebrate Independence Day with NOVA Parks and local leaders with the unveiling of two new interpretive signs that tell the powerful story of George Washington’s Patowmack Canal. This early engineering feat helped tie the young Mid-Atlantic states to the western territories, ultimately leading to the creation of the U.S. Constitution.

The event will take place at the park entrance at the end of Seneca Road. To get there, follow Seneca Road until it dead ends at the park entrance at the Fairfax Water gate and small trailhead. No RSVP needed.
