"Gone Fishing" Kayak Paddle

Enjoy a nice evening fishing by kayak and taking in the natural beauty of the Beaverdam Reservoir while learning about natural and historical features unique to the area. This program will be led by NOVA Parks' Roving Naturalist Matt Felperin. Various freshwater species include bluegill, largemouth bass, and channel catfish. We will begin with a brief paddling instruction overview and fishing tips before heading out. Previous kayak experience suggested, but not required. $40, Ages 12+

Be sure to bring plenty of water and appropriate clothing; quick dry material is recommended along with water shoes. Dry bags are recommended for personal items. Program includes experienced guide, fishing equipment, kayak rental, paddle, and Personal Flotation Device.

Are you ready for a legendary summer? All 5 waterparks in Northern Virginia's regional parks are now open weekends, 11am to 7 pm. PLUS, Atlantis, Pirate's Cove & Ocean Dunes waterparks will be open Wednesday, May 27, 11am to 6pm.
