Pohick Bay Golf Course Aeration Schedule

Aeration is a process in which small holes are punched into the putting greens to prevent soil compaction. During aeration we close 9-holes each day. During this time, golfers will play the same nine twice if playing 18-holes. The aeration process can take anywhere from 2-5 days depending on weather and soil conditions. The greens will then be in a recovery phase which could take 2-3 weeks to fully heal. Expect greens to be bumpy during this recovery phase.

Spring Aeration: March 31st – April 2nd
