The pirate ship water slide was their favorite, because it lands in water they could stand up in. They also loved the dump bucket. This is not a huge water park like I was picturing. It's a pool with several slides, a kiddie pool with some fountains, a jungle-gym type thing with a dump bucket and other water features, and a sand box. But for small children it's really just right. It wasn't overwhelming or overstimulating, and there is plenty to do for non-swimmers. For at least half an hour we were, the main pool was closed, I'm not sure why. That made the rest of the areas a little crowded. But other than that, it really was not crowded at all.

The setting is serene, the water park has a variety of fun offerings for all ages. When you look at this water park and the others in the regional park system, you realize this is a very affluent area. I'd say go enjoy these really special and so lovingly and well managed amenities, do your part to take care of them and sustain them, and don't take them for granted! Life is very good here. And it's even nicer at Atlantis water park

My son loves it here. He’s learning how to swim and jump and climb out. Today I was teaching him how to jump into the pool, but he wasn’t having it. He was very nervous and getting embarrassed about not being able to do it, but was still determined to figure it out. The lifeguard who was switching out of his post, Jon Hernandez, came over to us and asked if he was trying to jump in. When I said yes and explained that my son was learning everything, he asked if they could jump in together. My son said yes, Jon offered to hold his hand. He gratefully accepted. They jumped in together without hesitation, my son’s first time today. My son has sensory issues, he favors feeling and hates loud noises. When Jon offered to hold his hand, it set off all the confidence my son needed. From then on my son actually held out his hand and pretended Jon was still holding it so he could jump in by himself. I’m proud of him for getting so far on his own, but he wouldn’t have gotten that far without Jon. It wasn’t much, but it meant the world to my kid. These kids come here for summer jobs, but I appreciate them for everything they do. Thank you!
