Scouts will have the opportunity to earn the Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge.

Through lecture, discussion, activities, and demonstrations, scouts will “Be Prepared” for emergencies, understand how emergency management works on a local and national level and enable their households to prepare for the unexpected.
 
Scouts must have prerequisites completed at time of class for same day Merit Badge completion and bring a signed blue card. Counselor is available to sign off on requirements completed after day of class.
 
Prerequisites:
  • Req. 1: First Aid Merit Badge
  • Req. 2b: Chart with 10 emergency situations
  • Req. 2c: Family meeting regarding Req. 2b
  • Req. 8b: Bring pack and kit or pictures of pack and kit
