“Wagons, Greenbacks and Executions” is the title of the July 30th program about John Mosby and his partisan Rangers of the Civil War, offered at Mt. Zion Historic Park at 1pm by guest speaker and historian Eric Buckland.  Covering August to November 1864, Eric will discuss some of the Rangers most famous fights.  Though successful, there was a price to be paid, however, when six Rangers were summarily executed in Front Royal, Virginia on September 23, 1864. This presentation will include the Greenback Raid, the Berryville Wagon Train Raid, the Front Royal Fight and Executions, and the Death Lottery.  Admission is $5 at the door.  Mt. Zion Historic Park, a property of NOVA Parks, is located at 40309 John Mosby Highway, two miles east of Aldie on Rt. 50.
