Ball's Bluff Battlefield Regional Park
Battle of Ball's Bluff 13th Annual Remembrance Dinner
Next Date
Visit Ball’s Bluff Battlefield Regional Park for the thirteenth Remembrance Dinner commemorating the small but significant battle that occurred near Leesburg, Virginia. The event also recognizes the volunteer efforts of the Friends of Ball’s Bluff for their stewardship and interpretation of the park.
Tour guide and author Kevin Pawlak will serve as the featured speaker. This talk examines the experiences of those injured in the fighting, the medical practices and limitations of both Union and Confederate surgeons, and how the wounded survived their ordeal along the Potomac River in 1861.
All proceeds will support ongoing preservation and education programs at Ball’s Bluff Battlefield Regional Park.
This year’s event will include a social hour, silent auction, dinner catered by Great Blue Heron, and a historical artifacts display.
