Gabe Trail Hiker

Algonkian Regional Park boasts a variety of trails within the park, including accessible, paved trails, hiking trails, and the "Dr. Ira Gabrielson” trail, where horses are welcome.The official start to the Ira Gabrielson Trail can be found near the middle of the park itself, just beyond the open picnic shelter area before the park’s Riverfront Cottages. 

Hiking here is mostly flat on a blazed and well-used footpath. The Ira Garbrielson Trail is officially a part of the Potomac Heritage Scenic Trail. Users can hike the Gabrielson Trail into other Regional Parks, including neighboring Seneca Regional Park as well as Ball's Bluff Battlefield. 

Can You Conquer Climb UPton?

Take on the largest ropes course in the Mid-Atlantic with 90 elements across three challenge levels. Climb UPton is open Wed. & Thurs., 4-8pm, Fri. 4-9pm and Sat. & Sun. 10am-9pm.

Plan for Fall Fun at Temple Hall Farm Pumpkin Patch & Flower Fields

Pick your own pumpkin and flowers, take a wagon ride, visit the farm animals, bounce on inflatable pillows, slide down hill slides, and more! Open daily September 26 through November 3. Visit opening weekend for an in augural Pumpkin Blast by NOVA Parks' Executive Director on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 11:45am and live music between noon-4pm both days.
