Head of the Occoquan (HOTO) Regatta

Parking information

NO PARKING IS ALLOWED ALONG VAN THOMPSON OR HAMPTON ROADS.  Please be respectful of our neighbors and do not park along the roadsides.  You may be ticketed or towed.

Athletes who drive themselves may park onsite in D lot and Loisvale Lot until parking is full.  There is a fee to park on site. If onsite parking is full, athletes will need to park at South County High School and ride the shuttle to the park.

Car toppers may park on site for free adjacent to the gravel trailer lot, or in B lot if space is available.  There is no parking fee for car toppers.

Coaches may park on site in D lot and Loisvale Lot until parking is full.  If onsite parking is full, coaches will need to park at South County High School and ride the shuttle to the park.

Athletes or coaches parking on site must pay a fee of $20 per car (with 1-4 people) and $10 per car (with 5 or more people).  Cash only.

Drop offs are permitted at the park in Lot C.  Please pull forward as directed by the parking attendant, then continue straight and exit out the black gate.

Handicap vehicles may park onsite in B or C lot until parking is full. 

Pick ups are permitted in C lot when your athlete is in C lot and ready to be picked up.  There is no area available at the park to wait for your athlete.  Alternatively, your athlete may ride the shuttle from the park to South County High School for no fee and be picked up at South County, which has plenty of space available to park and wait.

Spectators may not park onsite at the park.  All spectators must park at South County High School and ride the shuttle to the park.

South County High School is located at 8501 Silverbrook Rd, Lorton, VA 22079

The shuttle fee is $5, collected at South County High School when you board the shuttles.  Cash only.

Team busses and vans may park on site in B lot until parking is full.

Team boat trailers may park in the gravel trailer lot during the following times: Friday 11am-7pm, Saturday 6am-7am or 5:30pm-7pm, Sunday 6am-7am.  You must communicate with or be parked by park staff or a HOTO volunteer.  To schedule a time for your trailer arrival, please e-mail sandyrun@nvrpa.org

Team tents may be set up Friday between 11am-7pm, or Saturday or Sunday morning before 7am.  Team tent spaces are assigned, and your site number is provided by the regatta organizer. Utility trailers may be unloaded but cannot remain parked on site.  Chuck wagons/food trailers are not permitted on site.  Open flames, propane, or cooking on site is not permitted per Fire Marshal guidelines.  If you have items to drop off to your team, you may use the drop off lane in C lot after 7am on regatta days, and you must communicate with a coach or athlete from your team to walk up to the drop off lane and receive the items from you.

Volunteers may park on site for free but must have the e-mail/pass that was provided.
