Outdoor Kids Grants
NOVA Parks is pleased to offer grants to Northern Virginia schools designated as Title-I to facilitate field trips for students, increasing access to our acres of parklands throughout the six jurisdictions—the Cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, and the Counties of Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun.
The mission of the NOVA Parks Roving Naturalist Program is to connect the citizens of northern Virginia with the natural world in our parks. Experienced naturalists offer many opportunities for students and teachers to learn through hands-on exploration, interpretative slideshows, live animal presentations, nature walks, and other experiences depending on the park location. All school programs can be tailored to meet Virginia Science Standards of Learning.
