Group Rental Request Form

Please fill out all information below no later than 7 days prior to your event for approval by Park Management.

TERMS

• Group rentals are for organized groups associated with a business, club, organization, entity, or non-profit organization. Friends or family groups are not eligible for group rental bookings. 
• Group rental inquiries should be submitted no less than 7 days prior to the requested rental date.
• Group rentals are available Monday-Friday, excluding holidays from Memorial Day until Labor Day. Group rentals are available 7 days per week before Memorial Day weekend and after Labor Day weekend.
• All participants will be required to fill out a Boat Rental form at the marina office before using any rental equipment.
• Any request for more vessels than originally indicated in the above application will be provided at the discretion of park management or the manager on duty.
• Group point of contact agrees to monitor group for the duration of the rental period and report any issues to park management.

PAYMENT

• Payment will be collected at the time of booking confirmation. Amount due is calculated based on the confirmation of vessels and rental period. Total cost is subject to change if rental period is extended beyond original reservation, vessels are returned late, or equipment is damaged, broken, or lost.
• Payment can be accepted via cash, check, credit or debit card.
• Additional fees for changes in rental period or late return of vessels will be collected at the conclusion of the rental period.

By requesting a group rental, you agree to the following rules. Failure to comply with the below rules will result in termination of rentals for all participants without a refund.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

• Participants must be 18 years of age or older, with valid identification showing proof of age, to rent any boat. All occupants under 18 years of age must have an adult sign under the Assumption of Risk section on the required Boat Rental Form.
• Participants 11 years of age or younger must be accompanied in the same boat by an adult 18 years of age or older. Participants in this age group may not embark solo.
• Participants 12 to 17 years of age must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older in the same, or separate boat, paddling within proximity to one another.
• Participants must be 16 years of age or older to operate a stand-up paddleboard.

PARTICIPANT GUIDLELINES

• A Personal Flotation Device (PFD) is required and provided for each person on the water. PFDs are required to be worn at all times.
• Load and unload passengers in the shore launch area only.
• Return to the boat rental area at the return time specified on your reservation.
  • If you exceed your hourly rental time, you will be charged for additional hours.
  • Late returns during regular operating hours will be charged in 30-minute increments. Boats returned after rental operating hours will incur normal late fees as well as an additional $50 fee.
  • Remove all trash and fishing equipment from the boat.
• The following rules apply to all guests:
  • Pets are prohibited on rental boats.
  • Swimming, bathing and wading are prohibited in the Occoquan Reservoir.
  • No alcohol is permitted in boats or in the park at any time; coolers are subject to search.
  • Always remain seated in boats while on the water (excluding stand up paddleboards).
• The Occoquan Reservoir is restricted to motors no larger than 9.9 horsepower.
  • If renting an electric motor, please note that the batteries are not meant to be run on high power for more than an hour.
