NOVA Parks Invites Visionaries to Reimagine Bull Run Special Events Center
Request for Information seeks bold ideas for new entertainment, attractions, amenities and potential public-private partnerships.
Fairfax Station, Va. (October 7, 2026) — What could the Bull Run Special Events Center become? NOVA Parks is inviting entertainment companies, event producers, venue operators, developers, investors and other innovative partners to help answer the question through a new Request for Information (RFI) focused on the future of the 1,500-acre Bull Run Regional Park property.
With direct visibility and access from Interstate 66, the Bull Run Special Events Center already serves as a destination for concerts, festivals, cultural events, carnivals, corporate gatherings and major community celebrations. The site also features an open-air amphitheater capable of accommodating up to 10,000 guests, extensive parking and existing event infrastructure.
Now, NOVA Parks is looking beyond the property's history to explore its future.
“We're looking for people who see what this property could become, not simply what it has been,” said Justin Wilson, Executive Director of NOVA Parks. “The Bull Run Special Events Center has tremendous scale and potential, and we want to hear bold, creative ideas for bringing that potential to life.”
The RFI invites respondents to consider a wide range of possibilities, including:
- Destination events and entertainment experiences
- New attractions and amenities
- Expanded or innovative event programming
- Enhanced guest experiences
- Public-private partnerships
- Transformational capital investments
- Sustainable business and operating models
NOVA Parks is particularly interested in hearing from organizations with experience in entertainment, event production, venue management, development, investment, and other fields that could contribute to a new vision for the property.
The initiative reflects NOVA Parks' entrepreneurial approach to park operations. The agency generates most of its operating revenue through entrepreneurial activities and continually seeks innovative ways to enhance its facilities and better serve the community.
The RFI is intended to help NOVA Parks understand the marketplace, identify innovative concepts and explore potential models for the property's future. Information received may inform future procurements or lead to discussions regarding potential partnerships. The RFI is exploratory and does not constitute a commitment by NOVA Parks to proceed with any particular proposal or enter into an agreement.
“There's an opportunity here to create something distinctive for Northern Virginia,” Wilson said. “If you have a vision for the future of special events, entertainment or destination experiences in this region, we want to hear from you.”
Organizations and individuals interested in learning more about the opportunity, watching the announcement video, and responding to the RFI can visit novaparks.com/BullRunSpecialEvents.
