Winkler Botanical Preserve is excited to host the Genealogy Merit Badge. This Merit Badge consists of one-hour long classroom session. Same day completion requires fulfilment of prerequisites.
Scouts should bring a signed blue card and have completed the following requirements:

Requirement 3: Interview relative or family acquaintance and take notes.

Requirement 4c: Obtain one genealogical document supporting an event recorded on your pedigree chart.

Requirement 5: Contact one of the listed resources in the Merit Badge Workbook, ask what records, services, or activities the place provides.

Requirement 6: Begin your family tree listing yourself and at least two generations.

Requirement 7: Complete a family group record listing yourself and your siblings as the children, complete a second family group record listing one of your parents and their siblings as the children.
Participants are required to read and accept the Assumption of Risk and Indemnification Agreement during the registration process.
