On Thursday evenings, from March 7-June 6, join Loudoun public historian and educator Rich Gillespie to learn about and visit our historic landscape. The 13-part series will get you out of the house and in to our vibrant and extraordinary community.
Whether you’re new to our area, are curious about Loudoun’s past, or just wonder about Loudoun’s place in our nation’s history, this is an experience you won’t want to miss. It will be led by 30-history teacher Rich Gillespie,who is also historian emeritus with the Mosby Heritage Area Association.
All sessions will include a field trip. Among the sites to be visited are Aldie Mill, Waterford, Ball’s Bluff Battlefield, Lincoln, and even a visit to nearby Harpers Ferry.
The fee for this series is $195 per person with proceeds benefitting Aldie Mill Historic Park, a property of NOVA Parks. Cost includes all course materials; transportation will be provided by class participants.
