Request for Public Comment
NOVA Parks is seeking public comment on the redevelopment of the Bull Run Occoquan Trail, which consists of about 2.5 miles of trail located immediately north and immediately south of the Old Yates Ford Road crossing of the Occoquan Reservoir. The redevelopment calls for 2 miles of trail to be relocated, construction of pedestrian fiberglass bridges and construction of boardwalks. Proposed Land Acquisition Request for Public Comment
NOVA Parks (Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority) has applied for a Land & Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant to acquire approximately 128 acres adjacent to its 150 acre Springdale Regional Park in northern Loudoun County (shown on aerial map below). The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation has advanced NOVA Parks’ grant application to the second stage of the LWCF process. NOVA Parks is seeking public comment on the acquisition proposal.

NOVA Parks presents its Comprehesive Annual Financial Report for Year Ending June 30, 2018.
We are pleased to submit to you the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) of the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (the Authority) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2018, in accordance with the Code of Virginia. The financial statements included in this report conform to accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America (GAAP) as promulgated by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). Responsibility for the accuracy of the data and the completeness and fairness of the presentation including all disclosures rests with management. To the best of our knowledge and belief, the enclosed data are accurate in all material respects and are reported in a manner that presents fairly the financial position of the governmental activities and businesstype activities, each major fund, and the aggregate remaining fund information of the Authority, as of June 30, 2018, and the respective changes in financial position and cash flows, where applicable. All necessary disclosures have been included to enable the reader to gain the maximum understanding of the Authority’s finances.
